«Флаг муниципального образования „Усть-Канский район“ представляет собой прямоугольное полотнище с отношением ширины к длине 2:3, воспроизводящее фигуры из герба муниципального образования, выполненные в голубом, белом, красном и зелёном цветах».

Описание герба: «В лазоревом поле поверх узкой зелёной оконечности, завершенной серебром, червлёная фигура в виде ромба, нитевидно окаймлённого серебром и у которого верхняя половина представляет собой трёхглавую островерхую гору, с дугообразными вырезами на склонах (являющихся гранями ромба), при этом средняя вершина выше остальных и у всех вершин кайма ромба уширена наподобие снежных горных шапок, а сам ромб обременен скачущим серебряным конем».
