«Прямоугольное двухстороннее полотнище с отношением ширины к длине 2:3, воспроизводящее фигуры из герба городского поселения Майский, выполненные пурпурным, синим, белым и жёлтым цветом».

Описание герба: «В пурпурном поле с включенными лазоревыми узкими волнистыми краями — золотой Архангел Михаил в доспехах и плаще, держащий в правой руке меч, обращённый вверх и вправо, а в левой опущенные ножны, сопровождённый в оконечности положенной поверх краёв серебряной мурованной зубчатой стеной с аркой ворот и четырьмя бойницами».
