Deutsch: Das Konzerthaus Berlin steht als zentrales Gebäude auf dem Gendarmenmarkt. Das klassizistische Bauwerk ist eines der Hauptwerke des Architekten Karl Friedrich Schinkel. Es wurde 1821 als Königliches Schauspielhaus eröffnet und war von 1919 bis 1945 Preußisches Staatstheater. Im Jahr 1994 erhielt es den Namen "Konzerthaus Berlin".
English: The concert hall is a central building on the Gendarmenmarkt. The classical building is one of the major works of the architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel. It was opened in 1821 as the Royal Playhouse and was from 1919 to 1945 Prussian State Theatre. In 1994, it was named "Konzerthaus Berlin".
