Čeština: Pár terejů modronohých (Sula nebouxii), který byl zachycen na ostrově Lobos, souostroví Galapágy, během namlouvacího rituálu. Terejové modronozí jsou mořští ptáci s velkým rozpětím křídel až 1,5 metru. Jsou vysocí asi 90 cm a snadno je lze poznat podle nápadně světle modrých nohou. Ty hrají klíčovou roli během namlouvacího rituálu, sameček při propracovaném tanci ukazuje nohy samičce a snaží se ji zaujmout. Terejové modronozí jsou typickými představiteli galapážské ptačí fauny, přesto je lze pozorovat na širokém pásmu západního pobřeží Severní, Střední i Jižní Ameriky (od Kalifornie po Peru). |
